Take the appropriate measures to ensure the Class of 2006 a safe future
Branchburg, NJ (June 1, 2006) – As graduation season approaches, Falcon Safety Products, manufacturer of the Dust-Off® brand of computer and consumer electronics cleaning products, would like to congratulate the graduating members of the Class of 2006 on their achievements and accomplishments, wishing them a bright and successful future. In celebrating their excellence, Falcon urges the graduating class to put safety first and to take the appropriate measures to protect themselves, their friends, families and loved ones from the extremely dangerous effects of substance abuse, especially the use of inhalants. Substance abuse is something that is becoming even more common amongst underage students nowadays, especially with highly reliable Fake ID Websites that allow youngsters to access alcohol and drugs easily. When this happens, it could end in them becoming addicted and dependent on these substances, which could lead to a break down of their mental and physical health, as well as their relationships with friends and family. In an effort to battle their addiction they would need to call to get help from a family member or a medical rehab center. If this is the result of the abuse they are doing, then over time they will need to be able to provide drug tests occasionally to make sure they are keeping off drugs and aren’t relapsing causing dire consequences to their recovery. It may be asked by a court or offered up voluntarily, which means they would be telling them to go to a drug testing Syracuse NY facility or one closer to where they reside/where they went to rehab.
As a leading manufacturer of one of the world’s most versatile aerosol products, Falcon recognizes the seriousness of inhalant abuse or “huffing” and stresses the importance of informing consumers of aerosol products, parents and children, of the dangers of substance abuse. Inhalation abuse, commonly known as “huffing,” has become a growing issue with today’s youth across the country. In a 2003 research report published by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, 12.7% of 10th graders and 11.2% of 12th graders said they had abused inhalants at least once. Hearing loss, limb spasms, brain and kidney damage and even death, are various dangers of using inhalants.
“Like most consumer products on the market, our products are safe and effective when used properly, according to label directions and warnings. However, we are mindful of the dangers associated with the intentional misuse of aerosol products, and want to impress upon everyone the very real danger for serious, permanent harm – even death – that can result from the deliberate misuse of these products,” notes Phil Lapin, President of Falcon Safety Products. “This product misuse, known as ‘huffing’ is a serious issue and not to be taken lightly.”
Falcon Safety Products has taken a number of proactive measures to help educate the public on the dangers of inhalant abuse, and urges parents, educators, community leaders and members of the editorial community to do the same.
